SAFETY & CREDENTIALS
Industry Standards That Guide Every Job We Do
Homeowners deserve HVAC work that’s based on verifiable standards, not opinions. These
are the organizations, certifications, and processes that define the way Brigham Heating &
Cooling performs every installation, diagnostic, and repair.
Every technician at Brigham Heating & Cooling maintains an active RMGA certification.
RMGA does not offer a public lookup system, but certification status can be verified at any
time through:
- The technician’s RMGA certification card
- RMGA directly
- Any Utah Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
This ensures our gas-related work is performed by professionals trained to the standards
recognized by Utah’s gas and building authorities.
All of our technicians who handle refrigerants hold an active EPA Section 608 certification,
which is required by federal law for safe refrigerant recovery, charging, and leak handling.
The EPA does not provide a public database for verification. Certification can be confirmed
through:
- The technician’s certification card
- The EPA-approved testing organization that issued the credential
Copies of our EPA certifications are available upon request for full transparency.
We reference publications and guidance from the American Gas Association (AGA) when
performing venting evaluations, combustion-air calculations, appliance safety checks, and
heat-exchanger assessments.
The AGA is an industry advocacy organization representing natural-gas utilities across the
United States. While it does not certify technicians or enforce regulations, the AGA publishes
widely used engineering data, safety research, and technical best-practice materials that help
guide safe and efficient operation of natural-gas appliances.
Our use of AGA reference material ensures our evaluations follow nationally recognized gas-
safety principles, in addition to the local codes and manufacturer standards required in Utah.
Brigham Heating & Cooling maintains internal safety and professionalism standards that go
beyond the minimum state requirements for HVAC technicians. Each technician is required to
meet the following ongoing criteria:
- Annual background checks conducted through a reputable background-screening
service
- Annual drug testing to help ensure a safe and reliable workforce
- Ongoing technical training to stay current with evolving codes, safety standards, and
modern HVAC technologies
These internal policies ensure that every technician entering your home has been screened, trained, and held accountable to standards that exceed basic licensing requirements. While the Technician Seal of Safety is not a state-issued credential, it reflects the proactive
measures we take as a company to promote customer safety, professionalism, and trust.
Licensing & Full Transparency
Brigham Heating & Cooling maintains all required state HVAC licensing, and documentation is
available upon request.
We also comply with all local permitting requirements and follow manufacturer-specific
installation standards to protect equipment warranties and ensure system safety.
